2020 Youth Camp (virtual)
The Polish American Congress Charitable Foundation sponsored an Online Cultural Program for American teenagers of Polish descent ages 13-17 in cooperation with the School of Polish Language and Culture Jagiellonian University.
This was the first time that the Explorers’ Summer Program was held virtually, due to the Coronavirus. PACCF had six (6) participants representing PAC Divisions, PNA, PRCUA and FCSLA. The cost of the 2-week Program was $350.00 per student, with PACCF contributing $200.00 and the family covering the balance of $150.00
The Program included 30 Hours of Polish language classes and 20 hours of integration and cultural meetings and thematic workshops. Some of the highlights were learning about historic Krakow, a virtual tour of the beautiful Malopolska region of Poland, learning Polish traditional and modern songs, cooking simple Polish delicacies, and visiting interesting Polish cities including Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan, Lublin & Gdansk. A final quiz was given on both Polish language and the cultural activities. Each participant received a Diploma of completion of the language course from the Jagiellonian University.
